Lohri & Makar Sankranti

As we welcome the new year of 2026 the first celebration of the year will be LOHRI and MAKAR SANKRANTI. These two events will be celebrated at the Hindu Society on Tuesday 13th January 2026. The celebrations will include singing and dancing around the traditional bonfire. Popcorn, peanuts and grains will be offered in the fire. TIMINGS: 6pm to 7pm: Garam chai and bajias. 7pm to 8pm: Offering of grains, popcorn, peanuts, etc
